Today was Kaitlyn's 5th bithday. Where has the time gone. With the baby comming we thought that we would make this birthday extra special and took Kaitlyn up to New York City.
We started her birthday out first with her room filled with balloons.
Kaitlyn being so excited about the trip was up at 5am this morning and we didn't get the reaction we thought we would but she did enjoy them. The trip to the train station seemed to take forever.
Then the ride on the train seemed to go on forever. Funny how that happens when you are looking forward to something.
The first stop that we made was to Toys R Us in Times Square. Kaitlyn and I had fun riding on the Farris wheel in the store. Kaitlyn was psyched to get the my little pony car.
Kaitlyn got her picture taken with Geoffry.
Then we went on to American Girl where Bryant and I surprised her with her real birthday preset, another American Girl doll. Kaitlyn picked Kit.
We also had a birthday lunch at the American Girl Place. It was fun with party favors, cake and ice cream. The food was ok we could have eaten some where else and got a little better food but it was more about the experience not the food.
Kaitlyn and Mommy
Felicity and Kit got their own chairs.
Kaitlyn and her birthday cake. A pictures speaks a thousand words.
FAO Swartz
The solider at the entrance of FAO Swartz would not let Kaitlyn go in until he sung her happy birthday, thanks to the birthday pin she was wearing.
